Selamat Berhujung Minggu

Yeay, its another weekend :) Hope you all have a nice and a beautiful one. Here is another great advice to share.

Our Time!

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways ,but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Twilight Inspired Pre-Wed

Have you ever thought of incorporating movie themes into your pre-wed/post-wed shoots?

If yes, this is another brilliant theme for you to consider. Twilight Movie! (i am drooling when i thought of Robert Pattinson, haha).

If you are giving movie themes a thought, make sure you discuss it thoroughly with your photographer. I believe this involves a lot of editing, so you may want to consider an artsy photographer too.

Find out more about the above shoot, here.

Baby Breath Bouquet

Just how sweet is this?

Never thought that a simple bunch of baby breath can bring out so much life on a bride bouquet. For a hint of elegance, consider tying the bunch with an embellished ribbon (e.g sequined, brooched, etc)

Perfect for the minimalist bride, or maybe for nikah ceremony.

Post Wedding Bazaar Gathering

I think i am infected by the lazy bug and the busy bug, all at the same time. Anyway hope this entry is not stale yet, eventhough its not really hawt out of the oven. Heheh. Plus i think many other bloggers have posted the hip-happening Wedding Bazaar Gathering post already.

Anyway these are what hubby's lenses captured on the day. We arrived at 2.30pm (thanks to the bad traffic in KL) from Kuantan, right after my second prenatal checkup (gigih kan?) haha. Left at around 5.30pm, gosh, time flew so fast. Lepas tu boleh pergi shopping KLCC lagi :)

It was exciting, and the crowd was H to the UGE!

Ok girls, feast your eyes ;)

Anil's dress, right at the main entrance. I love it, looks nicer when you see it live. Material memang superb.

With Cik Ika of Perjalanan 30 Mei. Ain't she a beauty?

With Anil lah, siapa lagi :) Anil is a very bubbly person, just like how she blogs.

With Aim and Ida Yusof, brides to be.

With Azi a.k.a Nariko. Very sweet person ;)

Ok that's me. Gosh, i have put on a lot of weight ;S

Can't resist buying our first baby cloth, with Kedai Panas.Too cute!

Finally met Qis, who just got married. She is tall! And sweet too :) Ok that was me in storytelling mode :P

In a nutshell, congratulations to all committee members because the event was great! I did not find time to say hi to some of others (also because i can't recognize some), but anyway hope there is another chance next time, Insya Allah :)

Baby Blanket Materials

As far as my counting goes, yesterday was the day this little miracle inside my tummy turned 2 months. Gosh, another 7 months to go, and that is not so long y’all!

I have not made any baby stuff shopping yet, but hubby and I have started surveying for the baby gears already.

I am planning to make a project for my first baby, and most likely I am going to start making a baby blanket. Because I do not know the gender yet, I have decided to use a universal colour (not pink, not blue). The thing is I am not sure where to buy the materials that makes a good blanket. I want a comfy fabric, I read fleece is a good choice, but again, I really need some recommendations of where to get such fabrics.

Do I have to go to the big textile houses to get it? Meaning, do I have to go to the center of KL where the good textile houses are? Now that could be a problem, coz I am really not a big fan of crowds at this point of time :-S

If only there is an online shop for this…hurmm..

Anyway, just sharing, here is a great website for those of you planning to do a baby project (tak kisahlah, for your baby or as a gift :)

Something like this would be nice :)

B&B Heart This #3

{click to enlarge}

1 ) How about a treat for your loyal and hardworking ‘pengapit’, bridesmaids or even your assistance team? Not necessary be fancy gifts, a snack pack will do enough justice to help them go through the hectic day. From Martha Stewart Weddings.
2 ) A candy bar is the new trend, via Chic Maps by Nikki.
3) Drape-like cake design. I love the flowers :). Found here at BlogWishpot
4) A doily motive hantaran tray, from Eliza Elies Gifts.
